Let’s go back to the world of natural cold-extraction tobaccos and we are talking about another product of the V by Black Note line, produced by the collaboration of the Italian company Vaporificio and the California company Black Note. The new line does not offer the public blend or mixture and in fact after having spoken of Virginia, today we will review another single tobacco among those proposed. It is about the Cavendish.
If you are wondering why after reviewing virginia I chose to talk about cavendish the answer is simple, we all now know the legend behind this tobacco, as we all know it is not a type of plant, but it is the processing to which the leaves are subjected, and this is where I arrive at the time I chose to describe the cavendish because the main leaves of tobacco that are treated to get the final result are those of virginia.
As for all the products of this line, this aroma is also supplied in a 10 ml bottle where the name and recommended dilution percentage are reported in its light gray label: we speak 10%, but with a recommended maturation time more wide and ranging from 10/15 days. The result after mixing and after 15 days of waiting, stirring it from time to time, is a light-colored liquid, a yellow that tends to straw yellow, simply delicate.
This is the description given to us by the producers:
The Cavendish derives from a blend of Virginia and / or Burley that is processed in a particular way with natural molasses. Cavendish is aromatic, sweet and delicate, perfect to vape daily.
The description helps us to clarify the processing phase of the final product, indicates the type of tobacco chosen in this case Virginia and / or Burley, which will be used as a base on which to build the desired aromatic buquet and more indicates to us, among the many aromas that are usually used for the different care of the leaves, are an example the rum the maple syrup the licorice the cocoa, which natural aroma has been used in their composition and we speak, in this case, the molasses . The main characteristic of molasses is its sweetness deriving from a strong but not intrusive honey.
With these premises I find myself before the olfactory test, never simple, the first feelings that are transmitted to me are very delicate and sweet, you can clearly perceive the sweet and sweet delicacy of the liquid but my mind can not associate it with a real taste, the sweet part is surrounded by that grassy soft smell donated by the tabaccose part of the liquid not so incisive or preponderant but it remains there to file the sweet corners of the extract. Some perceptions are not always present at the different tests and I can hardly distinguish them as the one transmitted to me by a sweet dryness of dried fruit. Summarizing a liquid with abstractly sweet and delicate traits with hints of herbaceous and fruity.
My taste buds are ready for vaporization and I do not want to wait a second longer. The first sensation that emerges in inspiration is the perception of sweetness given by the sugary component of the molasses, a delicate sweetness, gentle not excessive but however well perceptible. In the central phase of the puff, an already known flavor strikes me, the recently savored virginia base fills the sweet spaces with its delicate grassy feeling, straw-colored with notes never rude or out of place woody. At the end of this skilful interweaving of delicate sweetness and soft woodiness, here in the background appears that dry note of dehydrated fruit that I struggle to recognize but which rounds the taste by lingering slightly on the tongue. The delicate sweetness that accompanies us even during the expiration phase is not intrusive but takes us by the hand and accompanies us to the next breath.
The cavendish has always been very appreciated for those who do not like dark and decisive tobacco but seek a sweet delicacy with grassy and fruity notes, the prince of light tobaccos that with its gentle and elegant ways will accompany us throughout the day without ever abandoning us.
The test also for this product has been protracted for more ml, we note a greater decay than virginia, on resistance, I imagine for the greater presence of sugars, it was formed before that typical layer of caremellization but the taste has not decayed much after 8 ml, instead the cotton was still in good condition. We remain however satisfied with the duration of the resistances.
