Today, let’s talk about pure tobacco e-liquids and, specifically, about a reference name in the international scene for this type of e-liquids: Black Note.
After reviewing Sonata, today we are dealing with Forte, a blend of Burley tobacco.
The manufacturer gives the following official description:
Burley tobacco provides a rich, smooth experience in this crowd favorite. Cultivated in volcanic Italian soil, the tobacco is sun-ripened, shade-cooled and bursting with full-bodied flavor.
The bottle in my possession is in 10 ml transparent glass with childproof cap and small beak tip. The 10 ml Black Note are TPD ready and are therefore easily available on our market. The Black Note’s packaging and labels are of astounding elegance, made in a vintage style and carefully selected to the last detail, with the reproduction of a pentagram on a sort of old parchment paper. The care in detail that has been reserved for the packaging is maniacal. In the 30 ml versions, the bottles are inside a cylindrical cartridge tube, made from recycled materials. Perfect and beautiful.
The olfactory test, as in the case of Sonata and all tobacco blends free from Latakia or Kentucky, doesn’t help us much. A slight vegetable hint and a vague sweetness is all that you can perceive on the nose. Everything is so mild, that the boundary of a virtually odorless liquid is very labile. As we have said in the past, we are used to this kind of situation. So I start with curiosity the vape proof, that I decided to perform, exactly as for Sonata, on the Fodi F2 by Hcigar.
“Forte” is a delicious tobacco that, in its simplicity, immediately strikes for cleanliness and composure. The Burley tobacco, usually used as “filling” in the vast majority of tobacco blends, here is proposed by Black Note in perfect solitude. The producer wants to show the dignified character of this Burley, a tobacco with a strong heart even if presented alone. This may be the key to the interpretation of the name given to this e-liquid: “Forte” is strong enough to be able to stand alone. I say this because, in spite of its name, this liquid cannot be strong in the strict sense of the word and how could it be, since it’s a liquid extracted from a White Burley?
Still, “Forte” is an e-liquid which, because of its “basic” characteristics and its linearity, I’m sure that will please the vast majority of the vaping people. Made with excellent craftsmanship by Black Note, it is a liquid of absolute quality, a global tobacco, a beautiful and good-loved son, that every mom would love to have …
It is a non-strong, linear, dry tobacco, but at the same time with a good softness and good aromaticity. It has a clean and essential taste, never invasive, to tell in the American way: it’s a mild tobacco. That’s why we think it’s a perfect daily travel companion, it’s impossible to tire of it and to get addicted to its notes and its light aromatic nuances.
If vaped at low watts (12 to 15) “Forte” is light, aromatic and soft, while over 15 watts it increases in character, you can experience a dryer background and it also reveals slight bitter nuances.
Black Notes deserves a praise for this creation, though it may be overshadowed by other of their proposals. In my view, “Forte” is a broad-spectrum e-liquid, where the perception of the ingredients’ quality is very high, as well as the sensation of elegance that it transmits during all the moments of the puff and the good aromatic persistence. An unmissable all-day.
Pro: An elegant and tireless all-day burley tobacco.
Cons: It’s not properly a full-bodied tobacco.
