Today we return to take care of the English brand Dinner Lady and in particular of probably the best known product of the wide range proposed by the company of Blackburn, the e-liquid Lemon Tart.
It is evident from the name of this e-juice that we are not in the presence of an unknown recipe indeed, it is perhaps the most used recipe in the last years by the manufacturers around the planet: the lemon cake in its most varied declinations. Each manufacturer proposes a personal one, proudly showing off its qualities.
We have already had the opportunity to talk about the packaging of the Dinner Lady products in previous articles dedicated to the brand. We will not repeat, if you want to know exactly what we think, click here, otherwise if a motion of unrestrained laziness assails you, be content with a synthetic “just look at it to understand …”

Dinner Lady presents Lemon Tart as follows:
Tangy lemon curd lavished over gooey meringue, and finally enveloped in delicious thin crust pastry. This is a luxurious pudding that’s so good seconds won’t be enough!
The Lemon Tart olfactory test presents in the foreground a tasty hint of vanilla cream with lemon inserts. Perfumed, winking and very realistic. The creamy scents are not the only ones to compose the olfactory score, because in the second measure you can see light notes of pastry that contribute to creating a precise and defined aromatic picture. It’s a dive into the past, indelible memories, the flavors of childhood … The unforgettable smell of homemade butter biscuits, that unique scent and that bit of lemon zest that made them so good and genuine.
The previous experiences with the Dinner Lady products lead us to conduct the test in a range between 30 and 40 watts to avoid an excessive loss of roundness, a loss already observed with the other “Dessert line” e-juices. The first puffs present a non-overly sweet e-juice, an element that is not negative, which in inspiration denotes a certain composure and above all an excellent fragrance. It is a fragrance, however, that can not completely hide a certain degree of dryness and slight points of sharpness that inevitably reduce the roundness of the whole aromatic structure.
The air spreads an incomparable fragrance, its degree of loyalty to a typically homemade shortbread biscuit is very high, but the vaporizing unfortunately does not return the same notes, let’s frankly disappoint the expectations a bit. The heady scents perceived on the nose do not find the right match during the vaping test.
It takes a few puffs to reveal where the aromatic distortions are hidden, which diverge the perceived in vaporization from the soothing notes released in the air.
The mother is kneading and preparing to bake her delicious butter cookies but she realized, unforgivable mistake, that the lemons are missing from which to take that beautiful fragrant rind, the touch of class for its dough. Give up the lemon peel or use that sachet of aroma that is there in the pantry, but that with deep skepticism she has always avoided until now?
In Lemon Tart that infamous sachet of aroma was used… And in the face of a crispy and friable pastry, so perfectly natural, unfortunately it is the lemon ingredient that penalizes the recipe as a whole. A lemon with a taste that is a bit too unnatural, which seems to remove roundness from the whole body of the e-liquid.
During the puff, I had the perception of a product that is too unpacked and devoid of the right amalgam. All because of that lemon!
Although lacking the right degree of softness, Lemon Tart with the succession of puffs, once you are accustomed to the “synthetic” characteristics of the lemon ingredient, you can easily and pleasantly vaping, as long as you forget the promises of the manufacturer.
Oh yes because when and if you open your bottle of Lemon Tart, know that you will not receive any fresh meringue and even a delicious pastry. There will only be an excellent base of short pastry “soiled” by a pungent and generic lemon flavor.
Pro: A simple and clean e-juice for an all-day vaping.
Cons: The lemon aroma betrays its “synthetic” nature, appears unnatural and too pungent.
