China is the world’s largest manufacturer of vaping devices with a share of over 90% of the entire world production. The Chinese e-cig production fabric is made up of some great historical giants manufacturers and many medium-small companies of more or less recent constitution that increasingly and overwhelmingly appear on the market with news of all kinds. Among the numerous Chinese companies, there is also the company that we will examine today, Hippovape, which since 2018, after some productions basically for the entry level segment, has recently launched its first mod, the B’Adapt Pro.

Let’s start as usual, looking at the main features of the product and the contents of the package.

DESIGN AND BUILD QUALITY

To be a low-end product, it must immediately be said that the B’Adapt Pro has a very convincing visual impact, with an aesthetic line that is anything but approximate and coarse. The design is very accurate and this means that from the first approach the mod does not go unnoticed at all. In our opinion, the device is also appreciated from a constructive point of view, although it is quite evident that the quality of the materials (stainless steel and polycarbonate) is certainly not first in the class; the threads, finishes and workmanship are in any case highly respectable and the product therefore, in our opinion, passes the design test with flying colors and the build quality test with full marks.

ERGONOMICS AND PORTABILITY

The B’Adpat Pro mod measures 80.5 mm in height, is 52 mm wide and has a thickness of 26.5 mm, while its total weight with a 21700 battery is just under 150 grams; with these characteristics the B’Adapt Pro is able to guarantee itself the nickname of side by side walking mod. From an ergonomic point of view, however, the speech is a little more subjective, especially due to the position of the buttons on the box. The Flavourist team thinks that would have preferred the inversion between the fire button and the selection buttons, and this not for a purely aesthetic question.

Taking the necessary sums, we can however conclude that the B’Adapt Pro is a light mod that guarantees a solid and pleasant grip to the touch, although perhaps with some limitations in terms of ergonomics.

HIPPOVAPE B’ADAPT PRO FUNCTIONS AND PERFORMANCES

Let us now pause to observe the functions of the Hippovape proprietary circuit and its performance. The mod turn on/off with the canonical sequence of 5 close clicks and the main information for the user appears clearly and legibly on the 0.96 “black and white display: battery charge status (in percentage), vape mod, coil impedance, watt / volt / temperature based on the chosen vape mode and therefore still Ampere of discharge, duration of the last puff and count of puffs.

Everything is under the eye of the user even if in our opinion the graphic presentation of the information on the display is far too simple and scholastic. Perhaps better could have been done with regards to the graphic aspect of the display. The vaper who buys the B’Adapt Pro can choose between the following vaping modes (turning on with 3 quick clicks of the fire button and selecting with the “+” and “-” buttons): watt mode, volt mode, temperature control (SS , Ti, Ni and TCR) and bypass mode.

Watt mode: you can adjust the vaping power in a range between 1 and 100 watts;
Volt mode: you can adjust the voltage in a range between 0.5 and 8 volts;
Temperature Control Mode: once the material of the coil used has been selected, it is possible to choose the preferred temperature in a range between 100 ° and 315 °;
Bypass Mode: Allows you to use the device as if it were a mechanical mod.

There is also the possibility of blocking the “+” and “-” buttons by holding them down simultaneously for 2 seconds, just as it is possible to block the fire button by pressing it simultaneously with the “+” button. Hippovape has ultimately conceived a mod with a very simple and intuitive circuit, equipped with all the essential functions that can satisfy a wide range of users, even the most experienced vapers.

Finally, there is no lack of canonical protection functions at moment present on all mods on the market (8-second overtime protection, low charge protection, short circuit protection, etc.).

The circuit of the Hippovape B’Adapt Pro, although simple and lacking in technologically innovative solutions, proved to be dignified and reliable to the test of facts. The box has a good reactivity and a continuous and precise delivery and above all, if used at medium-low wattages (MTL vaping), the battery management seemed very good to us. We did not like the fire buttons and “+” and “-” in our opinion a little too hard and not very sensitive to touch. Let’s say that they seemed to us somewhat anachronistic buttons, typical of the boxes of at least five years ago.

Finally, the sleeves, although visually nice, seemed to us of low quality, a plastic material that after a certain use could easily break; furthermore they can only be used with atomizers with a maximum diameter of 22 mm.

EASE OF USE

Hippovape B’Adapt Pro is a mod essentially indicated for an average expert user or even for long-time vapers who want a side by side mod without big claims to be used daily, with an eye however to the aesthetic aspect. Having therefore made these necessary premises, the ease of use of this device is out of the question as no vaper with a minimum of vaping experience will have the slightest difficulty interacting with this mod.

HIPPOVAPE B’ADAPT PRO FINAL VERDICT

The Hippovape B’Adapt Pro mod is a low-end side by side box that catches the eye for its being aesthetically very appealing. We are left with the doubt about the durability of its materials, but it is still out of the question that its design and its incredibly competitive price certainly make this device very attractive and to be considered as a do-it-all box to be used in everyday life.
