Nitro’s Cold Brew Coffee is the name of an American californian brand widely distributed in the European continent. The Flavourist received the entire line from the Aer Wholesale distributor and started a few weeks ago to thoroughly examine this line entirely dedicated to the coffee world according to the Anglo-Saxon style but with the particularity of being an ice line, perhaps the first true iced coffee e-liquid line in the world.

After having spoken to you about Almond Cappuccino, today we deal with Macchiato, so officially described:

This vape juice stands out with a rich and bold Espresso kick and a creamy iced Caramel twist.

The product is presented in a 100 ml chubby gorilla bottle with a young and safe impacting graphics. The overseas manufacturers know definitely do very well the image of their products; packs with a very high appeal able to create an unreachable hype in the world of e-liquids.

Macchiato‘s olfactory evidence throws me virtually into a welcoming and well-known American café and its now unmistakable aroma of Italian espresso (?). All good or bad we have learned to know and recognize it … The Italian espresso made by the most famous American coffeehouse chains has also become a bit of our espresso abroad, we who when we cross the borders of Italy rediscover us great experts of coffee, making us easily take from a delirious abstinence of real espresso. And so we learned to activate our defense mechanism… We take refuge in a Starbucks…

The notes that stand out from the Macchiato bottle are intense and relatively little sweet notes of a typical Anglo-Saxon coffee that, as is well known, is never just coffee. Here, in fact, with the coffee, a rather pronounced caramel fragrance stands out, which well anticipates the type of e-liquid and vaping that must be expected, that is not an Italian macchiato but a spotted American style.

I am ready for the vape test that, for the occasion, I will conduct with all the aromaticity that knows how to infuse the Wotofo Recurve designated fal famous youtuber Mike Vapes. An RDA of undoubted quality to be used indifferently in dripping or bottom feeder.

The vape opens with a delicate ice effect that, together with all the other aromatic elements, immediately characterizes the e-juice giving it a very distinctive mark. As we have already seen with the Almond Cappuccino review, even in this circumstance and throughout the line, the idea of creating a series of coffee liquids, however, strongly appreciated for the warmer seasons, is appreciable and innovative.

The fresh effect is very well supported during the inhalation, from the soft and creamy tones of a velvety and sweet caramel, a caramel that is unexpectedly more marked than I could have expected after the smell test. The caramel is therefore the unexpected protagonist of these initial bars, a coulis that covers with abundance a fresh creamy mix of milk and whipped cream.

A sensation of extreme roundness pervades with pleasure my palate and I notice that the high concentration of VG guarantees an incredible vapority, adding to the vape a pleasant visual impact. As it is structured Macchiato will be widely rewarded by high wattages that will exalt all the fullness of taste.

And the coffee?

I have to wait for the tail notes of the blow to feel it emerge from the rear, or rather from the bottom of my big glass of milk garnished with plenty of caramel sauce. The effect of the espresso on the sweet and caramelized structure is convincing because during the expiration phase it smoothes and mitigates the sweet ingredients, balancing the whole bouquet very well.

Macchiato is a sweet e-juice there is no doubt, but among its merits is that of being anything but cloying. The coffee appears only as a thin veil, a light background that combines well with all the aromatic plant of the recipe. But it misses in taste, far from that of an Italian espresso. This is an American espresso that wants to make Italian…

Flying over the name given to the e-liquid that, if you think for a moment, does not identify at all an Italian “macchiato”, this recipe combines with high quality the fat and sweet tones of caramel, milk and cream, with light caffeinated nuances, making the pleasant bitter touch of the coffee perceive at the end of the puff and in the realistic aromatic persistence after the vape.

It is called Macchiato but in reality it is puffed after mouth and this e-liquid very faithfully recalls all the aromatic characteristics of a “Grande Caramel Frappuccino”, the caramelized milkshake by Starbucks.

Who does not like it?

Pro: Soft caramelized frappuccino that makes the verse, and very well, at Starbucks Caramel Frappuccino.

Cons: It is not an Italian “macchiato” coffee.
